The Avengers team will be back in 2015

Walt Disney Studios have confirmed a May 1st 2015 release date for the sequel of this year's biggest box-office success and the third highest grossing film of all time - Marvel's The Avengers . As announced previously, Joss Whedon will return to write and direct the film which caps off Marvel's second "round" of films - Iron Man 3 on May 3rd, 2013; Thor: The Dark World  on November 8th 2013; Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4th, 2014; and Guardians of the Galaxy  on somewhere in 2014 (???). It's nice to see writting and directing the second movie of The Avengers ... The movie is in safe hands, I believe! Just hope Guardians of the Galaxy won't be a mess and that it won't hurt The Avengers 2 quality... Marvel's The Avengers starred Robert Downey Jr. , Chris Hemsworth , Chris Evans , Mark Ruffalo , Samuel L. Jackson , Scarlett Johansson , Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston and it set records at the North American bo...

Academy Awards 2013 Best Supporting Actor nominees predictions: 2nd ROUND

1. Philip Seymour Hoffman for The Master Born: July 23, 1967 - Fairport, New York, USA Previous Oscar acting recognition: 2006 - Best Leading Actor for Capote ( win ); 2008 - Best Supporting Actor for Charlie Wilson's War (nom); 2009 - Best Supporting Actor for Doubt (nom) Oscar snubed performance(s): 1999 - Flawless ; 2000 - Almost Famous ; 2007 - The Savages ; 2011 - The Ides of March One of the most serious actors in the business, Philip Seymour Hoffman has been getting some of the AMPAS's recognition he deserves after his Oscar-winning performance in Capote , after being snubed for previous memorable acting work. This year, Hoffman stars The Master alongside Joaquin Phoenix, playing a "charismatic intellectual" with a faith-based organization that begins to catch America and he promises a lot during the movie trailer. It stills unclear if Mr. Seymour Hoffman has a co-leading or a "normal" supporting role in The Master , but eve...

Academy Awards 2013 Best Supporting Actress nominees predictions: 2nd ROUND

1. Anne Hathaway for Les Misérables Born: November 12, 1982 - Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA Previous Oscar acting recognition: 2009 - Best Leading Actress for Rachel Getting Married (nom) Oscar snubed performance(s): none Miss Hathaway already made a huge impression this year in her interesting turn as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in box-office and critical success The Dark Knight Rises . But it seems that all the Oscar hopes for Hathaway are around Les Misérables. She plays Fantine, a single mother, betrayed by life, who must to sell her hair and turn into a prostitute in order to survive - such a tragic character, such an Oscar-screaming role! In fact, Hathaway got one of the meatiest parts in Les Misérables musical and one of the most epic songs too (" I Dreamed a Dream "). The girl has the role, the girl has the talent, the girl has the voice... she has everything on her side! People already talk about a possible Oscar win for her and while I thi...

Academy Awards 2013 Best Leading Actor nominees predictions: 2nd ROUND

1.  Bill Murray for Hyde Park On Hudson Born: September 21, 1950 - Wilmette, Illinois, USA Previous Oscar acting recognition: 2004 - Best Leading Actor for Lost In Translation (nom) Oscar snubed performance(s): 1998 - Rushmore ; 2005 - Broken Flowers ; 2010 - Get Low In spite of being a terrific actor, loved by the audiences and respected in the cinema business, Bill Murray's immunologic system faced a couple of Oscar snubs, but the I believe the Academy member's may have big plans for him soon, since he plays President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the upcoming Hyde Park On Hudson . Such an interesting character, such an interesting plot and such a good actor, Murray is just pure awesomeness during the movie trailer, promising a big amount of charisma delivery. After almost winning for his first and only nod for Lost In Translation , Bill Murray seems to have good Oscar prospects this year and the growing Best Picture buzz around Hyde Park On Hudson , which...

Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master" Secret Premiere Screening Reactions

It seems that some people were blessed with a secret premiere screening of Paul Thomas Anderson 's upcoming The Master , starring Joaquin Phoenix , Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams , and the first reactions seem pretty enthusiastic (I'm not including some tweets that were found).  “ Don’t want to say more than a few words about it but it is an all around excellent film. I’ve yet to see one bad PSH performance but this one may be his best. 2hrs 10 min. Will get nods for Picture. Good chance of winning original screenplay and acting awards. If it were me, I’d put them both in the Best Actor category but if one them is getting the supporting nod, its Hoffman. It will have its fair share of detractors and its not a “safe” choice. If you guys can, see The Master in 70 mm. Looked gorgeous and its the way P.T Anderson wants you to see it. “ by Victor Escobar “ I’m still digesting everything I saw, but it was pretty amazing. It was like a strange fever dream. [But] no...
