Online Film Critics Society Awards 2010 winners

Well, Online Film Critics Society Awards annouced their winners. It was predictable that The Social Network would win Best Picture, but, to be completly honest, I'm a little bit surprised that the winners are the strongest contenders for an Oscar win. I would be glad of seeing Chris Nolan getting the Best Director Award home, but he toke the Best Original Screenplay, which is not already bad! Have I already said that I'm tired of seeing Steinfeld taking home all the Best Supporting Actress prizes, when we have Melissa Leo and Jacki Weaver in the same nominees list? The little girl dazzles, but she isn't supporting (she's the leading character) and I think that veteran actresses like those I mentioned deserve a big little bit of more consideration! The fact that The Kids Are All Right were snubed from the winners list seems a little sad to me, specially when the movie has a strong menssage to our society...

The almost annual TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today is out, with me considering the performers' performances of 2016 also. We have a few changes since last year's list, with Greta Gerwig toping the list thanks to her last 3 great performances in Mistress America , Maggie's Plan and the Oscar buzzy acting turn in 20th Century Women . Scarlett Johansson comes second with her latest distinguished performance being in 2014 ( Under the Skin ), but she managed to be at the spotligh this year thanks to her fine turns in critically acclaimed movies: Hail, Caesar! , Captain America: Civil War , The Jungle Book (voice) and Sing (voice). Today I discussed about how awful some "teen icons" are and then we talked about some exceptions.
