D23: "Frankenweenie" logo and "The Avengers" footage details

D23 expo revealed some interesting things: the announcement of the following Pixar movies or the logo of Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, but the best was Joss Whedon's The Avengers footage that was shown. Some cast members like Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Colbie Smulders (Maria Hill) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) were present during the event.

I can see The Avengers trailer and footage being revealed around Christmas or January, so, by now, we must get happy with the footage's description. Here it is according to SlashFilm:

"It begins with Loki being locked in a large, circular glass room that's very technologically advanced. Nick Fury walks in, presses some buttons on a touch screen and warns him: "In case it's unclear, if you try to escape, you even scratch on the glass, it's 30,000 feet straight down." We see the floor open up revealing we're on the Helicarrier. Loki says it's an impressive cage, but not for him, and challenges Fury by asking how desperate is he to do what he has done. Fury retorts by saying that Loki has brought his world to the brink of war and "you kill because it's fun, so you made me very desperate." Loki taunts him by saying Fury was so close to true power. He had the tesseract (aka the Cosmic Cube) and but now he, Loki, will remind you what real power is. Fury responds by saying, "Tell me if real power wants a magazine."
Meanwhile, as Loki is delivering that speech, we see The Avengers all sitting around a table with Thor standing in the middle (this is the footage from the brief teaser trailer) watching Loki on a monitor. It ends with Bruce Banner, wearing purple, (Mark Ruffalo) saying "He really grows on you doesn't he?"
Cut to Nick Fury explaining that S.H.I.E.L.D. had an idea to bring together a group of extraordinary people who could fight the battles we never could. As he's saying this, we cut around what the Helicarrier, seeing various S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and such.
Next we see Tony Stark behind a bar and he says, "Let's do a head count." This is all intercut with footage. "We've got two deadly assassins," Black Widow and Hawkeye on a bridge next to a crashed car. "A demi god," Thor looks up menacingly, then we see him jumping in slow motion swinging his hammer at Captain America. "A legend that actually lives up to the legend," this is Captain America, who we see looking at his new suit and jumping away from an explosions. And Stark ends with "and somehow you managed to piss them all off." The reveal is he's talking to Loki. Loki says, "I have an army." Stark says "We have a Hulk." We then see a transforming leg and the new Hulk screaming into camera. Title card."

TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today - 2017

The almost annual TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today is out, with me considering the performers' performances of 2016 also. We have a few changes since last year's list, with Greta Gerwig toping the list thanks to her last 3 great performances in Mistress America , Maggie's Plan and the Oscar buzzy acting turn in 20th Century Women . Scarlett Johansson comes second with her latest distinguished performance being in 2014 ( Under the Skin ), but she managed to be at the spotligh this year thanks to her fine turns in critically acclaimed movies: Hail, Caesar! , Captain America: Civil War , The Jungle Book (voice) and Sing (voice). Emily Blunt adds another great performance to her resume in The Girl on the Train and she comes third, while Elle Fanning 's turning into one of the finest actresses and she's getting to play more adult and complex parts like The Neon Demon  and 20th Century Women 's (her two best performances since Super 8 ). TOP 10 Most Promising Movie Actors (under 30)

Today I discussed about how awful some "teen icons" are and then we talked about some exceptions. So, I decided to make a little list, a TOP 10, with the male actors that I think that will become music in an ocean of noise somewhere in the future (I did one list before, but it was a little bit pathetic and I didn't justify my choices). Let's start... 1 - Ryan Gosling He may not have a huge list of movies in his body of work, but the few times he makes something, all the time he almost carries the movie. In fact, Gosling is a proof that talent does exist and that you don't need excentrical characters to receive raves. He rose to fame after the big screen adaptation of The Notebook (2004) and then received lots of critical praise for his performances in movies like Half Nelson (that gave him an Oscar, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations), Lars and the Real Girl (that gave him a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations) and Fractur...

ACTOR/ACTRESS OF THE MONTH: Michelle, ma belle

Michelle Pfeiffer Born: April 29, 1958 in Santa Ana, California, USA Oscar recognition:  1989 - Best Supporting Actress for Dangerous Liaisons (nom)  1990 - Best Leading Actress for The Fabulous Baker Boys (nom)  1993 - Best Leading Actress for Love Field (nom) One of the most beautiful women that ever walked on Earth, Michelle Pfeiffer was the A-list of the A-list in the late 80's and in the begining of the 90's, managing to get 6 Golden Globe nominations (winning one) 6 years in a round, for 6 amazing performances. She called attentions with her charm and voice in the movie musical flop Grease 2 , but she started gaining a "serious actress reputation" after appearing in Brian de Palma's Scarface . After Scarface , she became the biggest Hollywood movie star and delivered iconic performances as Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys and as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns .  After some years away from stardo...
