Sean Penn + Ryan Gosling + Josh Brolin? What a cast for Gangster Squad!

When there was announced that Warner Bros. wanted Sean Penn ( Mystic River ) and Ryan Gosling ( Half Nelson ) for the 1940's crime drama Tales From the Gangster Squad , I thought it would be only an attempt to generate some buzz around the movie (nothing special that could deserve a post here) but now things are getting serious!
