TALK TO ME I followed a tip: don’t watch the trailer and just go watch the movie. I did it. And I liked it a lot. While it doesn’t offer the same level of satire as Jordan Peele’s Get Out , Talk to Me is a commentary about Gen Z’s TikTok and social media culture and how things derailed because of the need of being cool, the need of being seen and universally accepted. Sophie Wilde delivers an outstanding breakthrough performance here with an unsympathetic character she approaches with sensibility – even for those who never felt any warm towards Mia, there’s no way to deny her ability to carry the whole movie – and the young Joe Bird excels in some of the most terrifying scenes. As an horror piece, Talk to Me is never too scary, but it is chilling and it features some very graphic visual horror elements that can make you look away for some bits. MCU put the internet on fire with the release of the emotionally ressonant trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , which takes place after the death of King T'Challa (and real-life death of the talented Chadwick Boseman , who played the title character of the franchise). Ryan Coogler is back with the franchise's director's duties and it seems his job reached titanic heights! Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 's trailer featured some of the most impressive visuals showed on a movie trailer this year, so far! Plus, it seems an ode to women power: Lupita Nyong'o , Angela Bassett , Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira - these are the actresses portraying the four women leading Wakanda after the king's death.  No matter what, it seems MCU is going right in the Black Panther realm: not only it gives POC actors a lot of room to shine, but its upcoming message of feminism and presentation of women as rulers, carers, warriors and symbols promises one of the most special...

Finally, Black Widow gets her own solo movie after 10 years of being a recurring supporting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! It has some Captain America: The Winter Soldier vibes, which is good, but having Cate Shortland ( Somersault , Lore or Berlin Syndrome ) in the directing chair and a trio of Scarlett Johansson , Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz starring the movie... it's even better.
