REVIEW: "Challengers"

Genre: Comedy; Drama. Director: Luca Guadagnino Writer:   Justin Kuritzkes Starring: Zendaya, Josh O'Connor and Mike F aist Challengers is a movie that's actually "hard" to review because there are elements I truly loved and others... not so much. And while it's fair to say it isn't a perfect movie, it sure is a solid one. It's sexy, vibrant and fueled by its charismatic three leads - Challengers is a winning match for director Luca Guadagnino. Guadagnino is no stranger to complex characters and plays with three depicable people in this film by creating an intriguing love triangle between an alpha woman, an unapologetic bissexual and a cute guy who proves to be a manipulative mastermind... and I believe this is giving a lot away already. While explaining the nature of their connections might be too much of a spoiler since the movie's narrative is exactly a study about how these three characters connect and have connected before, it's no crime ...

REVIEW: Dune: Part Two

Genre: Drama; Sci-fi. Director: Denis Villeneuve Writer: Denis Villeneuve & Jon Spaihts Starring: Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Austin Butler, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Souheila Yacoub, Christopher Walken, Stellan Skarsgård,  Charlotte Rampling and Léa Seydoux Dune (2021) was a very good movie, which featured fantastic visual and technical aspects - a movie meant to be admired rather than fully lived mostly because of the "half plotline" from the source material - but then you understand it was all about setting the plot foundations for the cinematic spectacle of Dune: Part Two . It's a movie that will please both fans and non-fans of the first film. In fact, I'm grateful I live in the same time it was made because it allowed me to experience it on a theatre. I was immersed, astonished and utterly marveled with this one! Dune: Part Two starts at the exact same place and time where it left us in 2021's film an...

The Best of Their Generation: BORN IN THE 90's

Last month, I named the TOP 5 actors and actresses born in the 2000's - only 5, because most young actors younger than 22 had little opportunities to show-up.  Today, I'm naming the TOP 10 actors and actresses born in the 90's! I must admit I had a lot of fun selecting these "crop" of young talent - so young, yet so talented (and a big couple of them have achieved a lot already). For my consideration: the awards recognition, distinguished performances and successful movies, and box-office numbers. I still include distinguished TV works and performnaces on Broadway.  From Timothée Chalamet to Zendaya, have a look (listed alphabetically):
