Sean Penn + Ryan Gosling + Josh Brolin? What a cast for Gangster Squad!

When there was announced that Warner Bros. wanted Sean Penn ( Mystic River ) and Ryan Gosling ( Half Nelson ) for the 1940's crime drama Tales From the Gangster Squad , I thought it would be only an attempt to generate some buzz around the movie (nothing special that could deserve a post here) but now things are getting serious! Penn and Gosling are only two of the best working actors in Hollywood and seeing them acting alongside each other would be just great, but now we also have Josh Brolin ( Milk ): what an amazing cast! According to the reports, Penn is up to portray the legendary gangster Mickey Cohen, Gosling is set to play a cop who tries to bring Cohen to the justice and Brolin may be the Gosling's character working partner. According to Variety's reports, all the three actors mentioned before are highly active in the negociations for the roles that were offered to them, with Penn really close to sign contract! Penélope Cruz in Woody Allen next film project; Hugh Jackman may be the Huntsman; Pride & Prejudice & Zombies may have a new director;

It seems that Penélope Cruz ( Volver ) said that she and Woody Allen will work again on "his next movie". The Spanish actress added that she can't say anything more due to the fact that Allen is really secretive, but she confirmed that it will be her next movie and older reports say it will happen in Rome. Remember that last time the Cruz&Allen team worked together was in Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and Cruz received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for playing an explosive and unstable ex-wife that were part of a love triangle. Hope it will be great, Woody... According to Collider, " Deadline reports that Universal has offered Hugh Jackman the role of the Huntsman in the Rupert Sanders-directed re-imagining of the classic fairy tale ." Viggo Mortensen ( The Lord of the Rings trilogy) dropped out of the project, but it seems that Universal is looking for another "movie star" for the movie and Hugh Jackman may get the lead role i
