Tom Hooper may direct Les Misérables; Giamatti in "Rock of Ages"; Michael Shannon or Edgar Ramirez in Superman Reboot?;

It was reported that Tom Hooper , the Academy Award winner director for The King's Speech , may have the big screen adaptation of Victor Hugo's musical Les Misérables . According to Collider, " Deadline reports that Hooper is very close to choosing Les Mis as his next directorial effort. The film will be an adaptation of the stage musical, rather than a straight adaptation of Hugo’s novel. William Nicholson (Elizabeth: The Golden Age) wrote the screenplay and Cameron Mackintosh, who produced the stage musical, will be producing the film as well. " Nice project after the Oscar winning movie about the king with a speech problem! I will keep an eye on this project... Paul Giamatti ( Sideways ) was casted in the big screen adaptation of the Broadway hit musical Rock of Ages . According with the best sources, Giamatti will play the manager of a rock band. The adaptation of Rock of Ages already has Tom Cruise ( Jerry Maguire ), Mary J. Blidge , Russell Brand ( Get Him t

Snider in Film.com " Gibson is basically flawless in the role, giving auds the creeps in the early stages and then managing to suggest a newfound lust for life, even though he's only living it through a medium ." by Andrew Barker in Variety Oscar potential categories: Best Leading Actor (Mel Gibson)

Woody Allen will cameo in his own film; Young stars up for "The Hunger Games"; "Prometheus" has a lead male; Cruise is "At Mountains of Madness"

In a recent interview, Woody Allen said a lot of things, but there are a lot of interesting words he said about his upcoming projects. He revealed that he will have a small part in his next movie that will filmed in Rome, that he would love to work with Diane Keaton ( Annie Hall ) again and that people want to see " Leonardo DiCaprio chasing Scarlett Johansson ", or something like this. Are these words a kind of "teaser trailer" for upcoming news about his new project? It would be interesting... The Hunger Games ... the next big screen adaptation worldwide sucess is becoming a nearly reality, specially with the most recent casting news. Academy Award nominee actress Jennifer Lawrence ( Winter’s Bone ) is the favourite to grab the lead role of Katniss Everdeen. It is a sought after role as the film is expected to be a hit, other actresses in contention are reportedly Abigail Bresling ( Little Miss Sunshine ), Hailee Steinfeld ( True Grit ) and the only non-Acade

Next Woody Allen movie will be in Rome - there's no story, but who would you like to see working with the legendary director?

Since 2005, Woody Allen have been touring Europe (I'm not talking about 2009's Whatever Works ). Match Point (2005), Scoop (2006), Cassandra's Dream (2007) and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010) were shooted in London; Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) was the Woody Allen most profitable movie and it was filmed in Barcelona, while Midnight in Paris (2011) takes place in Paris and it will be released in this year's Cannes Film Festival. So, the Untitled Woody Allen's Rome Project will start shooting in the end of this year's Summer (but some reports also say that it will happen in July) and it should have a 2012 release. There's no details about the story, the usual "superstition" of Allen, but we can start thinking about some sexy scenes à la Vicky Cristina Barcelona and who can actually star this Woody Allen flick. The movie will certainly take an Italian actor or actress, but I've a feeling that Allen will team-up Raoul Bova

"Uncharted": who will be the choosen babe for David O. Russel?

It seems that the adaptation of the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is on fire in the media. After David O. Russel 's (The Fighter) statement that said he would like to have Amy Adams ( Junebug ) or Scarlett Johansson ( Lost In Translation ) to play Helena, the female lead in the movie, the project gained something that changed his classification from RUMOUR to IT CAN BE DONE. In the Oscars, Mark Wahlberg ( The Departed ), the actor who's set to play Nathan Drake, the male lead, said that Eva Mendes ( The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans ) and Scarlett Johansson are both under consideration to play Helena. Well... Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson or Eva Mendes? It's not easy to choose... Let's see all them: Amy Adams - She's 36, which may be her biggest problem, in the way that when the movie will be filming, she will have 37 or even 38 and she may not look THAT SEXY. Plus, in spite of being a 3 times Oscar-nominee actress ( Junebug , Doubt a
