The Golden Globes 2021 nominations were announced February 3rd. I'm sorry for my late coverage, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic I've been overworking (as you maybe know, I'm a nurse). So, pandemic aside...! It's time to have a look at this year's Golden Globe nominees and then... It's time to predict who the winners will be! Right now, Mank and The Trial of the Chicago 7 emerge as the frontrunner since they both scored 5 nominations each - and I believe Netflix will try to capitalize in the Best Motion Picture - Drama department. Nomadland , the critics' favorite, also scored nice here - 4 noms, including Best Picture - Drama, Best Director, Screenplay and Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama - but Hollywood Foreign Press Association isn't kind to independent productions (2016's Moonlight aside, I guess).
