A spectacle of a movie! Avengers: Endgame starts as a slow burning post-apocalyptic tale of loneliness and despair and then turns into a journey of hope, jokes and some of the most memorable moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After Infinity War, the Avengers try to deal with loss and failure, but there's something that  doesn't let them go on... and I can't tell you much more or I'll be accused of spoiling everything. What I can say is: it is the most emotionally satisfying movie from MCU and it features some of the best ensemble acting ever seen in "blockbuster cinema". Highlights to Robert Downey Jr. at his most dramatic Tony Stark AKA Iron Man (who's asked to balance personal v. common good), to Chris Hemsworth as Thor at his best comedic shape, Chris Evans as the heart of the Avengers values and sense of duty and Scarlett Johansson in her most personal and multidimensional turn as Black Widow. All actors shine bright in this one (it is a stellar ensemble cast!), including Josh Brolin as the titan Thanos, and you realise how good the Russo brothers are when they're asked to go personal, to go deep in the characters - in fact, they have a fantastic sense for acting direction which suprasses their extravaganza visua sensibility. The screenplay helps and it offers a watchable narrative while making room for character development.
Visually, Endgame is outstanding! It features some of the best visual effects works in recent movie history that everything seems so palpable! Alan Silvestri excels in score department (it is a far superior score when compared to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers or Infinity War) and sound department does great in the action scenes!
And let's talk about the makeup & hair department - Nebula and Gamora feature exquisite makeup works, Black Widow's hair shows how time has passed and Thor's brand new beer belly also tells us a story.
In the end, Avengers: Endgame might well be the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movie so far, suprassing Black Panther (in my opinion). It offers its characters' best and you will feel how much you care about them. More than an action movie, Endgame is a movie about taking risks and fight for a cause, "whatever it takes".

TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today - 2017

The almost annual TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today is out, with me considering the performers' performances of 2016 also. We have a few changes since last year's list, with Greta Gerwig toping the list thanks to her last 3 great performances in Mistress America , Maggie's Plan and the Oscar buzzy acting turn in 20th Century Women . Scarlett Johansson comes second with her latest distinguished performance being in 2014 ( Under the Skin ), but she managed to be at the spotligh this year thanks to her fine turns in critically acclaimed movies: Hail, Caesar! , Captain America: Civil War , The Jungle Book (voice) and Sing (voice). Emily Blunt adds another great performance to her resume in The Girl on the Train and she comes third, while Elle Fanning 's turning into one of the finest actresses and she's getting to play more adult and complex parts like The Neon Demon  and 20th Century Women 's (her two best performances since Super 8 ). TOP 10 Most Promising Movie Actors (under 30)

Today I discussed about how awful some "teen icons" are and then we talked about some exceptions. So, I decided to make a little list, a TOP 10, with the male actors that I think that will become music in an ocean of noise somewhere in the future (I did one list before, but it was a little bit pathetic and I didn't justify my choices). Let's start... 1 - Ryan Gosling He may not have a huge list of movies in his body of work, but the few times he makes something, all the time he almost carries the movie. In fact, Gosling is a proof that talent does exist and that you don't need excentrical characters to receive raves. He rose to fame after the big screen adaptation of The Notebook (2004) and then received lots of critical praise for his performances in movies like Half Nelson (that gave him an Oscar, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations), Lars and the Real Girl (that gave him a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations) and Fractur...

ACTOR/ACTRESS OF THE MONTH: Michelle, ma belle

Michelle Pfeiffer Born: April 29, 1958 in Santa Ana, California, USA Oscar recognition:  1989 - Best Supporting Actress for Dangerous Liaisons (nom)  1990 - Best Leading Actress for The Fabulous Baker Boys (nom)  1993 - Best Leading Actress for Love Field (nom) One of the most beautiful women that ever walked on Earth, Michelle Pfeiffer was the A-list of the A-list in the late 80's and in the begining of the 90's, managing to get 6 Golden Globe nominations (winning one) 6 years in a round, for 6 amazing performances. She called attentions with her charm and voice in the movie musical flop Grease 2 , but she started gaining a "serious actress reputation" after appearing in Brian de Palma's Scarface . After Scarface , she became the biggest Hollywood movie star and delivered iconic performances as Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys and as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns .  After some years away from stardo...
