Teaser poster for "The Dark Knight Rises"; Iceland + synopsis = "Prometheus"?; Malkovich in "Siberian Education" adaptation; Danny Boyle eyes Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson;

Opening on July 20th, 2012, The Dark Knight Rises is directed by Christopher Nolan , stars Christian Bale , Tom Hardy , Anne Hathaway , Joseph Gordon-Levitt , Gary Oldman , Marion Cotillard , Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman and it is expected to see the first teaser trailer later this week with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II , but it seems that the first teaser poster was released online, which gives some hopes for all those who want to see the trailer as soon as possible. Just look at the poster: According to Collider , " Ridley Scott’s Prometheus remains shrouded in secrecy, but the production is moving to Helka, Iceland for two weeks of shooting. The country won’t be featured in the film, but Scott tells IceNews that what they shoot “will be 15 minutes in total, if all goes to plan. We are shooting the beginning of time.” Lead actors Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, and Noomi Rapace will all be on hand for the shoot. Part of the filming will be at t...

New "The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn" movie trailer; Listen to Spielberg's "War Horse" main theme composed by John Williams; "The Iron Lady" teaser trailer (UK trailer);

God, the new The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn movie trailer is out and it seems amazing, a kind of epic animated feature and I'm sure it will rock, man! Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful (such a great score and sound) and I bet it will be both a critical and commercial hit next Christmas! Steven Spielberg seems to have a great year by releasing the Oscar-frontrunner War Horse and this animated movie, that I would risky say "animated masterpiece". The voice cast is composed by names like Jamie Bell ( Billy Elliot ), Daniel Craig ( Casino Royal ), Andy Serkis ( The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King ), Simon Pegg ( Shaun of the Dead ) and Nick Frost ( Shaun of the Dead ). Maybe I'm wrong, but the trailer makes it look so good! Just watch it: You might already listen to this spectacular theme composed by John Williams ( Schindler's List ) in War Horse 's movie trailer, but, just in case, here's a video with the full record....

Madonna's. W.E. in Oscar race; Trailer for "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy"; Trailer for "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol";

According to Collider, " Madonna’s directorial debut Filth and Wisdom was widely panned but The Weinstein Company clearly has some faith in her follow-up W.E. (or at least in their ability to market it). The studio has sent out a press release announcing that they’ll release the movie on December 9th in the heart of awards season. It makes sense that TWC would try pushing the film into the awards race since the story of W.E. is what was happening off-screen in The King’s Speech. Whereas King’s Speech made King Edward VIII look like a selfish, short-sighted romantic, W.E. will recount his love story with American Wallis Simpson by viewing their relationship through the modern life of Wally Winthrop ". Well... to be completely honest, I don't have much faith in W.E. , but I can't forget that I didn't have hopes in Slumdog Millionaire or The King's Speech . It doesn't seem the kind of Best Picture Oscar nominee, that's sure, but according to some earl...

Ben Affleck to direct and star in "Argo"; Scarlett Johansson to star in "Once" director's next movie; "War Horse" first movie trailer (with Spanish subtitles);

According to Collider , " Ben Affleck first started considering Argo as his next project in February. In the months since, Affleck cast Alan Arkin and John Goodman in two supporting roles. Until tonight, Affleck had yet to announce the man to play Tony Mendez, “the CIA exfiltration expert who created a fake Hollywood production to get six Americans who were hiding out at the Canadian ambassador’s out of Iran.” According to Variety, Affleck will assume the lead role himself ". I don't know what do you think about this project, but it seems one of the most interesting upcoming movies, specially when the scrip by Chris Terrio was part of the 2010 Black List of Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays and Ben Affleck proved that he can be a great director (Gone Baby Gone and The Town). Let's wait and see how it will develop, but, right now, I'm excited about this one... Some reports say that  Scarlett Johansson ( Lost In Translation ) signed to star in the upcom...

TOP 15 Actors and Actresses Who Should Have an Oscar Nod, But They Don't (Overdue for an Oscar Nomination)

It's common to say that X actor is overdue for an Oscar win, but sometimes we forget that there are a lot of talented actors that didn't get the AMPAS recognition in spite of having a great body of work and a couple of performances for which deserve an Academy Award nod. They are recognized as "good actors and actresses", but it seems that the Academy didn't decide to honour their talent and their work. Here's my list ( in alphabetical order ): Kevin Bacon Most Oscar-deserving performances: 1995 - Murder in the First 2004 - The Woodsman Thora Birch Most Oscar-deserving performances: 1999 - American Beauty 2001 - Ghost World Emily Blunt Most Oscar-deserving performances: 2006 - The Devil Wears Prada 2009 - The Young Victoria Jim Carrey Most Oscar-deserving performances: 1998 - The Truman Show 1999 - Man on the Moon 2004 - The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind John Cusack Most Oscar-deserving performances: 1989 - Say Anything 1999 - Being J...

Oscar 2012 contenders so far: "X-Men: First Class" and "Super 8"

Genre: Drama; Action/Adventure; Science Fiction/Fantasy Director: Matthew Vaughn Starring: James McAvoy; Michael Fassbender; January Jones; Kevin Bacon; Nicholas Hoult; Jennifer Lawrence; Release date: 3rd June, 2011 " Lenser John Mathieson reinforces the film's retro orientation with canted camera angles and tracking shots that show off the richness of Chris Seagers' production design, whether it's a louche Las Vegas nightclub or a submarine commandeered by Bacon's renascent villain, now calling himself Sebastian Shaw (...) Despite a somewhat hefty 130-minute running time, "First Class" feels swift, sleek and remarkably coherent; an even longer, more fully fleshed-out version would not have been unwelcome. Visual effects designed by John Dykstra are smoothly and imaginatively integrated, and Henry Jackman's score provides fantastic forward momentum. " by Justin Chang in Variety " We interrupt this summer of blah sequels and pointless rema...

Captain America's new movie trailer; Emma Stones says NO to "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies"; O. Russell searches a female lead for "The Silver Linings Playbook";

To be completely honest, the trailer makes the movie looking pretty decent and I used to think that this one would suck, but I think I started looking to this one as a possible critical "success". But... most trailers make movies look better than they really are! Here's Captain America: The First Avenger new movie trailer: Recently, it was reported that the role of Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice & Zombies  was offered to Emma Stone ( Easy A ), but it seems that she passed on the project. According to Deadline, " Emma Stone passed on the heroine role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Lionsgate's adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel that mixes the 1813 Jane Austen classic with a legion of bloodthirsty zombies. While talent gets offered and passes on movies every day, Internet reports now trumpet offers, even if the journalists have no idea whether the actor is at all interested in doing the movie. In this case, an offer was made but it ne...
