New "The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn" movie trailer; Listen to Spielberg's "War Horse" main theme composed by John Williams; "The Iron Lady" teaser trailer (UK trailer);

  • God, the new The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn movie trailer is out and it seems amazing, a kind of epic animated feature and I'm sure it will rock, man! Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful (such a great score and sound) and I bet it will be both a critical and commercial hit next Christmas! Steven Spielberg seems to have a great year by releasing the Oscar-frontrunner War Horse and this animated movie, that I would risky say "animated masterpiece". The voice cast is composed by names like Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot), Daniel Craig (Casino Royal), Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead). Maybe I'm wrong, but the trailer makes it look so good! Just watch it:

  • You might already listen to this spectacular theme composed by John Williams (Schindler's List) in War Horse's movie trailer, but, just in case, here's a video with the full record. Enjoy it:

  • Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada) is the personification of "actress" in the true meaning of the word and she is outstanding in the few minutes where you can see her as Margaret Tatcher in this The Iron Lady's teaser trailer. A comedy or a drama? I've certain doubts about the movie's tone, but whatever it is, Streep is always Streep. Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!) is the director of the movie and the cast also includes Jim Broadbent (Moulin Rouge!), Harry Loyd (Game of Thrones TV series), Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series) and Richard E. Grant (Gosford Park). Have a look at the teaser:

TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today - 2017

The almost annual TOP 35 Actors and Actresses Under 35 Working Today is out, with me considering the performers' performances of 2016 also. We have a few changes since last year's list, with Greta Gerwig toping the list thanks to her last 3 great performances in Mistress America , Maggie's Plan and the Oscar buzzy acting turn in 20th Century Women . Scarlett Johansson comes second with her latest distinguished performance being in 2014 ( Under the Skin ), but she managed to be at the spotligh this year thanks to her fine turns in critically acclaimed movies: Hail, Caesar! , Captain America: Civil War , The Jungle Book (voice) and Sing (voice). Emily Blunt adds another great performance to her resume in The Girl on the Train and she comes third, while Elle Fanning 's turning into one of the finest actresses and she's getting to play more adult and complex parts like The Neon Demon  and 20th Century Women 's (her two best performances since Super 8 ). TOP 10 Most Promising Movie Actors (under 30)

Today I discussed about how awful some "teen icons" are and then we talked about some exceptions. So, I decided to make a little list, a TOP 10, with the male actors that I think that will become music in an ocean of noise somewhere in the future (I did one list before, but it was a little bit pathetic and I didn't justify my choices). Let's start... 1 - Ryan Gosling He may not have a huge list of movies in his body of work, but the few times he makes something, all the time he almost carries the movie. In fact, Gosling is a proof that talent does exist and that you don't need excentrical characters to receive raves. He rose to fame after the big screen adaptation of The Notebook (2004) and then received lots of critical praise for his performances in movies like Half Nelson (that gave him an Oscar, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations), Lars and the Real Girl (that gave him a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and other major awards nominations) and Fractur...

Academy Awards 2026 nominees predictions: Best Picture, acting categories, screenplays and Best Director (1st ROUND, updated)

BEST PICTURE BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE Leonardo DiCaprio  is a true movie star and the enthusiastic reception of Paul Thomas Anderson is earning him a ton of rave reviews while the movie seems to be a pretty solid contender in virtually every category at the Oscars.  Timothée Chalamet seems to have landed the a charismatic movie star role in MARTY SUPREME while  Danial Day-Lewis  is acting (and Oscar royalty) and he looks marvelous in ANEMONE trailer.  Jeremy Allen White is fresh from THE BEAR TV series glory and his performance as Bruce Springsteen has already earned him raves (and the AMPAS can't resist a musician's biopic). Last spot goes to Wagner Moura who carries THE SECRET AGENT/O AGENTE SECRETO like the movie star he proves to be - it's a great performance in a great film that will (almost for sure) represent Brazil for Best International Film and with a huge potential to pop in Best Original Screenplay, Director and maybe Picture if Neon decides t...
