15 Most Antecipated Movies for 2018

Avengers: Infinity War Directed by: Anthony Russo &  Joe Russo Screenplay by: Christopher Markus &  Stephen McFeely, b ased on  The Avengers  by Stan Lee and  Jack Kirby Starring: various Release date: May 4, 2018 (United States) All the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies come to this one. A super-sized superhero epic, with stravaganza special effects and a complex combination of character interactions. It is rumoured to feature more than 70 characters, which leads be to this question: can it work?! I'm specially curious about this one, specially since Marvel has set the standard really high with previous movies. Academy Awards 2018 nominations (complete list)

The Academy Awards 2018 nominees were announced! Andy Serkis and Tiffanny Haddish presented all the nominees (and Haddish proved she's not good at names, but still, she's a breath of fresh air!). With no surprise: The Shape of Water is the most nominated film of the year with 13 nominations !!! Darkest Hour and Phantom Thread both surprised in the Best Picture nominees shortlist, while life is teaching me (once again) that I'm a fool for not predicting Meryl Streep for any award-worthy performance she delivers (she has just got her 21st Oscar nomination for The Post ). Funny note: both Sarah Greenweood and Jacqueline Durran got nominated twice this year for works in Beauty and the Beast and Darkest Hour. Well, I'm just because of both Armie Hammer and Michael Stuhlbarg who missed Oscar nominations in the Best Supporting Actor field for Call Me By Your Name and I really was expecting The Florida Project  to get nominated in Best Picture and Best Director...

Academy Awards 2018 nominees predictions: THE FINAL ROUND

It is a wonderful year for Best Picture category and Oscar in general: so much diversity this year! From period pieces, to war movies, to romantic comedies... It's been quite a year! This year has proved quite a challenge to predict Academy Award nominations. This year's Time's Up media attentions, the ghost of #OscarsSoWhite and the rising issues of films about women / films made by women will be seen as some of the biggest factors that will drive AMPAS' members votes. And let's not forget we live in the Trump era...! But let's never forget the Academy members don't always go for the greatness of individual achievments only: if they fall in love for a movie, they'll love it madly and it will be reflected when nominations are announced.
