TOP 35 ACTORS AND ACTRESSES WITH/UNDER 35: 2019

This is the year we say goodbye to some of the biggest on-screen names of their generation: Emily Blunt , Adam Driver (who has just gotten his first Oscar nomination for his performance in BlacKkKlansman !), Greta Gerwig and Tessa Thompson . Note to the cases of Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence who keep in some of the top spots in spite of no relevant performance in the last big couple of years: their previous performances are some of the last 10 year's bests and there's no way to deny them a good position here. 1.  LUCAS HEDGES Born:  December 12, 1996 in New York City, New York, USA (age 22) Breakthrough performance:  Moonrise Kindgom  (2012) Distinguished performances:  Manchester by the Sea  (2016);  Lady Bird  (2017);  Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri  (2017);  Boy Erased  (2018);  Ben Is Back  (2018) Academy Award recognition:  1 nomination 2. Academy Awards 2019 winners - complete list

Oscars were last Sunday and it was full of surprises. I'm happy for my winner predictions, but I guess I wasn't prepared for Green Book actually winning Best Picture. In fact, every Best Picture nominee won AT LEAST one Oscar! Pleasant surprise of this year's edition: Olivia Colman ( The Favourite ) winning Best Actress over Glenn Close ( The Wife )! Sorry, I know Close is overdue for an Oscar win, but Colman was the year's very best! Also, it seems Regina King ( If Beale Street Could Talk ) took Best Supporting Actress home in a year the competition could be anyone's game. Another note: I wasn't expecting Black Panther and Bohemian Rhapsody to win in so many categories, but I'm glad for Panther's triumph in Best Production Design and Best Costume Design (I wished it was Nicholas Britell winning Best Original Score for If Beale Street Could Talk instead of Black Panther to be honest, but I'm OK). So, have a look at 2019 Academy Award wi...

Academy Awards 2019 winners predictions

BEST PICTURE Will win : Roma Can win : The Favourite  or Green Book Should win : BlacKkKlansman  Alfonso Cuarón's masterpiece, Roma , has been sweeping every big award that exists after taking home BAFTA Award for Best Film, Golden Globe for Best Foreign Motion Picture or the Critics' Choice Award for Best Film after collecting a big ton of critics prizes. It's almost TOO CLEAR. But it missed the usual key SAG Award nod for Best Ensemble or the Academy Award nod for Best Editing - an usual requirement in order to take home the top prize. Plus, it would become the first foreign film to win Best Picture!!! Too edgy for the AMPAS? That's why I still believe The Favourite or BlacKkKlansman might steal Best Picture: The Favourite missed a SAG nod for Best Ensemble, but got 3 SAG nods for its ladies, while BlacKkKlansman is the best from all the nominees and it has got virtually every nod it needs to be the perfect Best Picture winner, but didn't win a major ...
