Oscars were last Sunday and it was full of surprises. I'm happy for my winner predictions, but I guess I wasn't prepared for Green Book actually winning Best Picture. In fact, every Best Picture nominee won AT LEAST one Oscar! Pleasant surprise of this year's edition: Olivia Colman (The Favourite) winning Best Actress over Glenn Close (The Wife)! Sorry, I know Close is overdue for an Oscar win, but Colman was the year's very best! Also, it seems Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk) took Best Supporting Actress home in a year the competition could be anyone's game. Another note: I wasn't expecting Black Panther and Bohemian Rhapsody to win in so many categories, but I'm glad for Panther's triumph in Best Production Design and Best Costume Design (I wished it was Nicholas Britell winning Best Original Score for If Beale Street Could Talk instead of Black Panther to be honest, but I'm OK).
