- The French poster for Roman Polanski's upcoming comedy/drama Carnage was released a couple of days ago. I thinks it is a very appelative/attractive poster due to the colors, but mainly due to the actors' variety of mood expressions, which give us a clue about the movie's tone (love Kate Winslet's b**ch face!). The movie will be released in this year's edition of Venice Film Festival and it stars Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz. There's a lot of Oscar buzz around this movie, including for the Best Picture category, but mainly for the acting categories' race. Here's the poster:
- Ralph Fiennes directorial debut, Coriolanus is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play of the same name but with a different/more contemporany scenario... The trailer shows what seems to be a meaty movie about war, politics and family and I kind was impressed by the movie's look after watching the trailer: I was expecting something more "boring-looking", but it looks amazing, actually! Coriolanus stars Ralph Fiennes, Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Cox and Jessica Chastain and it was part of the 61st edition of Berlin Film Festival and it opened Belgrade International Film Festival this year. Here's the trailer:
- Like Crazy - Sundace Film Festival 2011 Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic winner - got a movie trailer. This one is actually the second one, but since the other is so short and more teaser-looking, I pronounce this trailer THE LIKE CRAZY TRAILER (kidding!). It seems sweet. It seems a feel-bad movie. It seems beautiful. Like Crazy looks like the result of a threesome between (500) Days of Summer, Blue Valentine and Going the Distance, but with a very own soul, and it makes this movie looking so interesting for audiences who like less mainstream cinema. I'm going crazy while I'm waiting this movie hits European theatres to see this one with my special girl (maybe we'll end the movie completely depressed...). Like Crazy is directed by Drake Doremus and it stars Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones, while Jennifer Lawrence also makes an important appearance. Here's the movie trailer (the first song is "Dead Hearts" by Stars and the second one is "Can't Help Falling In Love" cover by Ingrid Michaelson):
